The Garvellachs and the Slate Isles
These islands create an area of outstanding
beauty above and below the surface, with exceptional water
clarity. Complex tides are a feature of this area: our local
knowledge will put you on the right part of the site at the
right state of the tide.
On some less tidal sites we regularly feed a
large number of friendly conger eels.
Spend your surface interval snorkeling with
seals or watching dolphins, porpoise, otters and golden
eagles.
Offshore sites exposed to the Atlantic swell
On settled days some of our best dive sites
are to be found some 30 miles west of the Garvellachs. These
sites have narrow gullies and walls carpeted in Jewel
Anemones, huge shoals of fish and water so clear that you can
sometimes see the sun at 40m plus. We have seen Minke Whales
on over 50% of trips to these sites. To be almost certain of
seeing minke whales, come on one of our six-hour
whale-watching trips - see
www.sealife-adventures.com
for full details.
Drifts
From the infamous Corryvreckan to gentle
Dunchonnuil with its tame cuckoo wrasse, we can give you just
the sort of exhilarating diving you want.
Wrecks
We regularly visit the 'classic' Sound of
Mull wrecks and also some less heavily dived wrecks. We are
always searching for (and finding) virgin wrecks.
